Senior Fund Finance / Accountant

As a Senior Fund Finance / Accountant at Evolutions, you will play a critical role in managing core fund accounting operations while directly informing the design and validation of our AI-native general ledger platform. You will sit at the intersection of fund accounting, operations and product innovation.

In this role, you will lead day-to-day accounting, reporting and financial operations for funds while collaborating directly with our product managers and engineers to refine and test our general ledger, automated reconciliation tools and financial workflows.

Numbers - Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day fund accounting operations, including monthly/quarterly NAV calculations, trial balances, general ledger entries and financial statement preparations.

• Manage capital call and distribution processes, waterfall calculations, partner capital statements and investor reporting.

• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings (Schedule K-1s, corporate returns) and regulatory filings with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure strict adherence to GAAP, IFRS and fund legal documents (LPA/PPM).

Building - Product Collaboration & Technical Guidance

• Partner directly with Evolutions’ engineering and product teams to test, stress-test and validate automated accounting features, general ledger software and AI workflows.

• Serve as the subject matter expert on complex accounting logic, fee calculations, allocations and compliance rules to ensure our product reflects real-world institutional standards.

• Identify operational friction and manual tasks in fund accounting, providing actionable feedback and specs to automate and streamline workflows.

• 5+ years of fund accounting or fund finance experience within private equity, venture capital or at a top fund administrator / public accounting firm.

• Solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS for investment funds, NAV calculations, waterfall models, capital call/distribution cycles and audit procedures.

• Deep understanding of closed-end (drawdown), open end (liquid) and evergreen products, including hybrid structures.

• Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous financial accuracy — understanding that precision and auditability are non-negotiable in fund operations.

• Enthusiasm for technology and AI: curiosity and eagerness to rethink traditional accounting workflows using modern software tools.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-accountants and software engineers.

• CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent accounting qualification.

• Experience working with multi-currency funds, complex master-feeder structures or side pocket accounts.

• Familiarity with fintech platforms, automated reconciliation tools or custom SQL/database querying for reporting.

• Comfort with frontier AI tools, experience with agentic workflow development and agent deployment.

• Background or interest in digital assets, tokenization or private market innovation.
